PBR or Professional Bull Riding Inc. is an organization which is head quartered in Pueblo, Colorado, USA. According to the official website, current members hail from USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia, and Mexico and number at 1200.

PBR came into being in 1992, when 20 professional bull riders decided to venture out and form an organization to attract main stream audience for the bull riding sport. Today, PBR has evolved into a multimillion dollar industry which attracts live event spectators (1.5 million in recent years) and viewers in millions from around the world. The organization has grown to include four tours which stage over 300 events worldwide every year and has collected several sponsors.

Since 2007 a team event, called PBR World Cup, has been added to the PBR schedule where 25 bull riders from around the world compete to win the title of the Best Bull Rider Nation.

Professional Bull Riders main tour, called the Built Ford Tough Series, includes 31 events around the country year around. This tournament features riders who attempt to stay on a bucking bull for eight seconds. Forty riders from around the world take part in this event. The PBR World Finals have eight rounds of competition. The first seven rounds features top forty riders faced with the sport's toughest bulls. Based on the cumulative scores, top 15 riders move on to compete in one final round of competition which take place at the conclusion of the seventh performance.

Each year the goal for every PBR competitor is to qualify for the PBR World Finals, held each year in Las Vegas, where the much coveted title of PBR World Champion is decided. The rider with the most points throughout the course of the entire season will be awarded this coveted title.
